Delaware North Hires VP Of Finance For Boston Bruins & TD Garden
James Norton Named Vice President of Finance
Boston, MA (August 28, 2024) – Delaware North announced today that James Norton has been named Vice President of Finance for TD Garden and the Boston Bruins. Norton will report to Glen Thornborough, President of TD Garden and Chief Operating Officer of the Boston Bruins and Elizabeth MacDonald, SVP of Finance at Delaware North.
As Vice President of Finance, Norton will lead, direct, and oversee the financial health of the Boston Bruins and TD Garden. He will oversee the businesses’ annual plans, long-term plans and ensure proper measurement, reporting, and forecasting performance for all business lines.
He will also serve as a trusted advisor to business presidents and the subsidiary leadership teams. Norton will partner with Delaware North Global Business Services to assure the proper governance and procedures are in place for subsidiary financial system data and internal controls. He will also ensure proper stewardship of assets and accuracy of accounting records and documentation. He will have oversight of annual certification process with internal and external auditors.
A demonstrated leader in the sports and entertainment industry, Norton brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting to his new role. Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President of Finance and Accounting for the Arizona Coyotes. Prior to that, Norton was the Vice President of Finance and Accounting for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Assistant Director of Finance and Risk Management for the Chicago Cubs.
Norton is a graduate of Miami University where he earned double Bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance.
