Where is The Sports Museum?
We're located on Levels 5 and 6 of the TD Garden. The TD Garden is located in Boston's Downtown North section on Causeway Street, minutes from the historic North End and Faneuil Hall.

How do I get there?

What does it cost?
  • Adults -- $10
  • Children (10-18) and Seniors (60+) -- $5
  • Children Under 10 -- Free
  • Library Members -- Free
  • School visits and group rates available
Where do I buy tickets?
Visitors may purchase admission tickets at the TD Garden Box Office, located on the west side of the North Station platform, next to the Boston Bruins Proshop. If the Garden Box Office is closed, you can purchase tickets in the Proshop. The Museum's entrance is located at The Premium Club's private entrance also located on the west side.

What are admission times?
The Sports Museum is open each and every day (Saturdays and Sundays included) from 10 AM to 4 PM except for certain designated days when we are closed due to TD Garden events and holidays. For more specifics on those designated days when we are closed, please see the "Hours of Operation" section of this website or call 617.624.1234.

Do we need to make group reservations?
Yes, please call 617.624.1233 to arrange a time for your group. You are more than welcome to visit without reservations, however you will not be able to participate in any educational program.

How many chaperones do we need for youth groups?
We require at least 1 chaperone for every 10 students. We do not charge chaperones.

Are there restrooms?
There are plenty of restrooms. However, we do request that you use them at the beginning or end of the program.

Accessibility?
The Museum is fully accessible. However, please notify us of any special needs; it will make your visit go smoother. Groups with special needs should contact Michelle Gormley 617.624.1233 to arrange van parking.

Is there bus parking?
There is no bus parking. Buses may drop off your students and return after 90 minutes. For bus parking locations, please visit the City of Boston's Transportation Department. Groups with special needs should contact Michelle Gormley 617.624.1233 to arrange van parking.

Is there a gift shop?
The Sports Museum does not have a gift shop. However, The Boston Bruins Pro Shop is located in North Station and carries items from all four sports teams.

What about food and drink?
Groups may bring their lunch and sit at a designated location in the arena or museum. There are no food or drinks for sale in the Museum. There are several restaurants in the area, however.

Can we take pictures?
You are welcome to take photos during your visit with the exception of team practices.

Do you have a library/archive?
Yes. The Sports Museum houses one of the finest collections of film, video, photographs and research material in North America. Included in the collection is over one thousand hours of rare sports film and video footage, a comprehensive photo library of over two thousand titles covering a multitude of sports, files of primary source materials such as scrapbooks and diaries of prominent sports figures, artifacts such as uniforms, trophies, medals, and equipment, and much more.
